Abstract
Gunung Sulah, Bandar Lampung City is the center of wet noodle production. Wet noodles are a processed product that is popular and is related to consumer health, so the processing process must be carried out correctly and precisely according to the rules. The targets of this community services are wet noodle household food industry entrepreneurs (IRTP) in the area.The training participant are 4 home industry. This service activity aims to: (1). Providing knowledge about the dangers and effects of using formalin and borax in the wet noodle production process on health, (2). Providing knowledge regarding government regulations about the use of legal and illegal food additives, (3). Provide knowledge about the halal product guarantee system (SJPH) for wet noodle products, and (4). Providing knowledge and training about wet noodle processing practices in accordance with the principles of Good Food Production Methods for Home Industries (CPPB-IRT) as an effort to improve the quality of wet noodle product. The methods that was used are lecture, discussion and assistance with the 4 target audiences. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' knowledge from an average value of 29% (pre-evaluation) to 97.5% after training (post-evaluation), so, Training increased the participants' knowledge was 68.5% (medium category classified).
